UV rays, the beach and everything in between

I hate to have to start all my posts with an apology, but this time it’s really been way too long since my last update and I feel like an apology might be in order. Remember when I used to post like once every few days? Unfortunately, it’s not that I’m too busy now it’s just that I’m too lazy…

Well I think that going to the beach for a week is the most interesting thing I’ve done lately. It was actually kind of fun but there’s really not that much to tell. I mean, the beach is pretty much sitting in the sun all day and going to parties at night which is actually not as relaxing as it sounds. I’ve been home for about a week now and I’m still recuperating and I’m still trying to get the sand out of stuff.

This little vacation of mine is actually the source of inspiration for a new song we’re still kinda working on. At the moment it’s about killer UV rays and getting a sunburn. This still might change though…

Talk to you soon!

I’m just a phone call away

Rebecca Dautremer

I keep forgetting to write about all the interesting stuff I do (notice the sarcasm). I can assure you that I’ve been up to a lot since my last post. For instance, I just got back home from a little camping trip today. I’m not really that much of a fan of the great outdoors, to be honest. I mean, what’s the deal with all the bugs?! But I like to think there’s a tacit agreement between nature and me, we both stay where we belong and don’t get in each other’s faces. However, I decided to break that said agreement and go out into the wild for one day and it was pretty fun.

Well that’s it for now, time for me to get some sleep in an actual bed. Good night and good luck!

you know what we say about worrying… just don’t.

Leontine Greenberg

You’ll have to excuse the lack of updates, I’ve been kinda taking a break from all the internet stuff I usually do and spending more time on the the finer things in life, like rehearsing with the band (which, if you ask me, is going great). So yeah, I’m learning how to play my own songs again and we’re doing a bunch of covers that are a lot fun.

I think my last post was mostly centered around the exams I was taking at the moment, well that didn’t go too well (and by “didn’t go too well” I mean I’ve pretty much failed all my exams) but I’m telling myself that it’s nothing to worry about and I’m starting to believe it, so I guess the lesson here is: the more you lie to yourself the more satisfied you will become?

Well, this is it for now. Hope you’re enjoying summer!

slow vibrations

Please excuse the lack of updates, I find I have less and less free time of late, what with the whole college thing I’m still doing for some reason. Well since my last post I’ve had 3 exams and I still have 2 more to go and after that I’m finally going to be able to enjoy the whole summer experience I’ve heard so many wonderful things about. Not much going on other than that, but as soon as I have a life changing experience I’ll be sure to let you know.

Insomnia has been pretty cruel to me lately so I’m going to try and get some sleep now, have a great week!

the face ain’t making what the mouth needs

Frank Chimero

Hey! I went apartment hunting these last few days and found what is soon to become my new home away from home. I’m moving next month so I’m pretty excited about that. What have you been up to?

I’ve got like 3 exams next week and another two the week after that so, as you can imagine, I’ve been better. I might not be able to give a lot of advice but you can trust me on this one: Never, under any circumstances, decide that studying law is a good idea because, well, it’s not. What was I thinking?! I should probably change majors next year to something I can handle, like film, quantum physics or bad decision making studies (that should totally be a major).

Education is a cruel mistress…

like eating glass

Hey! I got back from Austria on Tuesday but didn’t really have time to write anything about it until now. There’s not that much to say actually, cause it was a really short trip and I didn’t do much. I spent a few days in Enns (which is a smaller town 150km from Vienna) and it was pretty awesome, though there wasn’t anything to do after 9pm… Then I went to Vienna and hung around in the Wurstelprater. That’s about it…

Just finished watching Coraline and it was a lot of fun. Henry Selick nailed it, too bad he’s kinda overshadowed by Tim Burton. You should see it, if you like that kind of stuff.

Vienna

Hey! How’s it going? Nothing too exciting at my end… I’m leaving for Vienna tomorrow morning so I probably won’t be around for a few days. Can’t wait to ride the Ferris wheel in Prater, that’s supposedly the place my great-grandparents met (random, I know, but it’s pretty much the only thing I have to say about Vienna).

that’s all for now, have a great weekend and see you soon!

the interconnectedness of all things

Thanks to all of you that gave deus ex machina a listen this past week! I happen to think it’s my best song so far and I’m really excited when other people share my opinion, if you don’t that’s ok too. I guess if you could spread the word that would be brilliant…

I started reading The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, which is the second Dirk Gently novel and it’s great so far. Everyone should know that I’m a huge Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fan so naturally I love anything that Douglas Adams touched.

Nothing else to say, see you soon!

deus ex machina

Hello there, ladies and gents, having a good day so far?

Well it’s about to get a lot better (or worse). I just posted a new song called Deus Ex Machina on myspace.

Fell free to check it out and tell me what you think, please. I said ‘please’ so now you have to listen to the new song because I’m a polite young man.

If you like it, you can download it HERE or HERE.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Paul

Zzz

Hello ladies and gents! what’s going on?

Finished working on the new song today and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. “Deus Ex Machina” should be on a myspace near you on monday, hopefully. I’d be really glad if you checked it out and shared your thoughts on it with me.

I’m trying to find some more ways to get people to hear it. Do you know and cool music blogs, internet radio stations or stuff like that?

The new Maccabees album comes out on monday too and it’s very good, give it a listen if you have the chance.
